‘Twas the Beginning of the Holiday Events

The start of Fall always marks the beginning of the holiday season. Stores and cafes are fully stocked with pumpkin spice, decorations are getting pulled out of the attic and holiday shopping begins. Not only is it the season of thanks and giving (pun intended), but gathering. The warm and cozy feeling the holiday brings can be so amazing.

You can always count on communities coming together for annual events that truly make people feel at home. Gadsden County is no different. Preparations have been underway for our annual holiday events and we are ready for residents and visitors alike to join in the festivities.

November marks the season of giving and stuffing yourself with turkey and mash potatoes, but there is also so much more to celebrate in November. For instance, Gadsden County is hosting a Holiday Open House November 10th and November 11th in Downtown Havana. Join us for wine, food, caroling, and a Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Santa Claus loves turkey too!

Then December is the month of endless Christmas specials, so we hope you’ll be motivated to get off the couch and join us for some wonderful family events. Kick off the month with our 7th Annual Christmas at Heritage Park in Chattahoochee on December 1st. Starting at 1:00PM, you can enjoy a warm drink, cookies, activities and music.

The fun doesn’t stop there! On December 8th, come on out to the Havana Wine Festival & Lawn Mower Parade. The event will feature local entertainment, cool cars, and various food and craft vendors. Mr. and Mrs. Claus will also be making an appearance!

Although we may not experience a snowy-white Christmas like some areas of the country, the holidays are still a magical time in Florida. In Gadsden County we are many communities coming together as one big family. Be sure you make plans to spread the holiday cheer in Gadsden County this holiday season.
